Kingdom Hearts 3 – Farming Tactics!

Ready to fight the horde of heartless! Art by Rytellia

If you’re anything like me, there is always a need to get all the items to level up all the things so you can kill all the things. Kingdom Hearts 3 was no exception – if anything you gotta do it more! Here’s the basics of what I learned:

Skip no battles

Skipping heartless, which is faster, means less loot. Less loot means less leveling. Plus, killing everything makes it a whole lot easier when your leveling up because that’s how experience works. Takes longer, but is so much more worth it.

Destroy EVERYTHING

We’re going Link on pots here, I mean literally everything. That small berry bush in Arendelle? Hit it. The barrel in The Carribean? Break it. Some of these small things have items that are actually pretty hard to find! Frost Gems, which are makable and dropped by the Ice Dragon heartless in Arendelle, can also be found by making the little snowballs in Arendelle into massive snowballs and then running them into a wall. Work smarter, not harder!

Use your abilities to up your chances.

There are abilities you can equip to boost your chances of dropping those precious items that can seem to take hours to drop one. Master Treasure Hunter is an ability you can earn further in the game, Lucky Strike is the move we’ve all known as Lucky Lucky which will help drops of the rarer materials and that can be equipped in both the Keyblade slot with Favorite Deputy and in the accessory slot with the Lucky Ring. Goofy can also learn this ability and it helps boost that all the more. Certain world team mates also come with this rare ability, Buzz from Toy Box, Eugene / Flynn from Kingdom of Corona, and Jack from the Caribbean. There’s one final way you can get Lucky Strike, and it’s through the Verum Rex mini game. If you get a high enough score you will receive a Master Medal that has this ability plus 15 AP.

When in need? Moogles!

For the majority of the main synthesis items, once you progress far enough or collect enough of them you can buy them. Keep in mind, some of these get very expensive. I do this only when I have to. Munny is another commodity that goes super quick if you use this method as well.

All Synthesis Items List and where to find them!

Everything in this list has been double checked by me. I’m adding more as I find them, but every single item has at least one drop point!
