Attack on Titan is a great anime, but it also has a great game to go along with Season 1. Each mission is close enough to be able to figure out basics of what you need to do and they get progressively more difficult each rank up. As I’ve been grinding through the game, I learned a couple of things to help with getting leveled, getting materials, and getting the best rank every time without fail!
You are on a time limit!
Most of the missions will not say any sort of time limit, but there is a speed requirement with all of them in order to get the highest score. Going straight for the nape of the neck will speed up time, but you will get less materials. Going for all of the objectives and missing the extra titans will make it so the Dire Subjugation does not show.
Every Titan Counts!
Killing every titan is the way to get the Dire Subjugation. The ranking of the titan kill helps most with your leveling and such, but I’ve never found it’s affected the ranking at all. Killing all the Titans may slow you down so focusing on just the napes is a good strategy on any you’re having difficulty with getting top marks for Titans.
Save all your friends!
Getting all of the missions that you can in the time you’re in the mission is critical in order to get the Dire Subjugation. These missions can be from escort your friends to a part on the map or to another person, kill all the titans that spawn in the area, or even defend this area until time is up with untold amount of spawns. Keep an eye on your comrades through these as they are typically the target of all the abnormal who appear. Keep it up and finish the side missions and you’re one step closer to that desired Dire that you need!
Well, I’m doing all of that and I’m still not getting an S-Ranking! What do I do??
This can be tough. If you’re going for napes only, getting all the missions done, and going as fast as you can, there’s only one other thing you can do to get on the best score run:
Upgrade your Equipables
Having problems getting through a nape in one go? Can only really get it if you boost multiple times? Your sword damage may be too weak.Having trouble with your hooks reaching and thus you have to free roam a lot before you can connect to a titan? Upgrade your Omni-Directional Gear. Upgrading your equipment is a long process, but a much needed one! Once you have your weapons strong, you can go back and slice through everything with ease!
