If you’re anything like me, when a game like Pokémon comes out, you know that you have told get all the things. I’m not talking about just Pokémon, I’m talking items too. Also clothes! In this game, that means serious monies. A whole whole lot for not having a way to redo battles with the trainers you’ve seen before.
There is a way! In the Wild Lands, there are three people you’ll run into throughout the game: Breeder Chloe, Fisherwoman, and Hiker dude. Fisherwoman and Hiker dude may have actual names, but they’re not stated in the very brief interactions you have with them.
Finding them is pretty easy, but here’s what I’ve learned in my hunting for them:
- Chloe is a breeder, so you’ll see her around in plaid and overalls by pathways and under trees, mainly on the edges of the map I’ve found.
- Fisherwoman is, exactly how she sounds, a fisherwoman. Will have a fishing rod and you’ll always find her by water.
- Hiker dude looks just like the digger duo by the nursery in the Wild Lands. He’s harder to find because he can be a little more everywhere. I’ve always found him with his back to something though, whether that’s a tree or a rock or a wall.
Now you’ve found them! What should you expect?
- Chloe is a battle, she will always have the starter Pokémon and based on where you are in the game will be at different levels. Starts at level 10 with base evolutions, goes to level 30 with the mid evolutions after you get your third badge, and goes to level 70 with final evolutions after you become champion. She also gives money for the battles, a decent chunk! It climbs every time she goes up to the next evolution.
- Both the Fisherwoman and the Hiker dude with be almost identical. They will both ask for 100 Watts in order to get their special item. Her item is typically something you can sell from the water (Pearls and such) and his is typically something you can evolve your Pokémon with (EXP candies and the like).
In my hunting, my team and I have been recording the locations of the three cash grabbers and have made a map on where they’ve been seen so far. We are still searching as I know we have not found them all, if you do see a location not noted, let me know!
