Getting all the weapons in Kingdom Hearts seems like it would be an easy task, but it’s a little more demanding then you’d expect! Finding all the Keyblades and finding hidden Staves and Shields can be a very long drawn out task. From my Platinum run of the game, I’ll Break down where to find every weapon and what is needed!
Keyblades – Sora
Now throughout the game, you’ll get significantly more Keyblades then you will staves and shields, but some are forced upon you some are not. Even when some are given upon completing worlds, no every world is technically mandatory! I’ll go over basics of where to find all of the Keyblades so you can ensure you get them all!
- Kingdom Key – Mandatory / Obtained by completing Destiny Island
- Jungle Key – Mandatory / Obtained by completing Deep Jungle
- Three Wishes – Mandatory / Obtained by completing Agrabah
- Crabclaw – Not Mandatory / Obtained by completing Atlantis
- Pumpkinhead – Not Mandatory / Obtained by completing Halloween Town
- Fairy Harp – Not Mandatory / Obtained by completing Neverland
- Wishing Star – Not Mandatory / Obtained from Geppeto’s House after Monstro
- Spellbinder – Not Mandatory / Obtained from Merlin after getting all basic spells
- Metal Chocobo – Not Mandatory / Obtained from defeating Cloud in the Hercules Cup
- Olympia – Not Mandatory / Obtained from Olympus Coliseum after completing the first three cups.
- Lionheart – Not Mandatory / Obtained from defeating Leon in the Hades Cup
- Oathkeeper – Mandatory / Obtained from Kairi after the first visit to Hallow Bastion
- Oblivion – Not Mandatory / Obtained from chest in Hallow Bastion (same room as the Riku/Ansem fight)
- Lady Luck – Not Mandatory / Obtained from White Trinity in Wonderland
- Divine Rose – Not Mandatory / Obtained from speaking to Belle in the library during second visit Hallow Bastion
- Diamond Dust – Not Mandatory / Obtained from defeating the Ice Titan in the Gold Cup
- One-Winged Angel – Not Mandatory / Obtained from defeating Sephiroth in the Platinum Cupt
- Ultimate Weapon – Not Mandatory / Obtained from synthesis
Staves – Donald
Donald’s weapons are pretty heavy on the buying side of things, but the best ones are found instead! Now the only staff of Donald’s that you’re forced to get is the default staff, so beyond that one they’re all optional. Here’s where you can get them all.

- Morning Star – Purchase from Item Shop for 150 Munny
- Shooting Star – Purchase from Item Shop for 750 Munny
- Magus Staff – Purchase from Item Shop for 1000 Munny
- Wisdom Staff – Purchase from Item Shop for 4000 Munny
- Warhammer – Purchase from Item Shop for 250 Munny
- Silver Mallet – Purchase from Item Shop for 1000 Munny
- Grand Mallet – Purchase from Item Shop for 4000 Munny
- Lord Fortune – Obtain all summons and talk to Fairy Godmother
- Dream Rod – Obtain all magic levels and talk to Merlin
- Wizard’s Relic – Dropped by Wizard Heartless
- Violeta – White Trinity mark in Olympus Coliseum
- Save the Queen – Complete Hades Solo Cup Solo
- Fantasista – Item Synthesis Group 6
- Meteor Strike – Chest in the End of the World (Giant Crevasse)
Shields – Goofy
Almost identical to Donald in how/where to get the Shields, Goofy’s weapons are heavy on the buying side of things as well. Also, just like Donald, there is only one mandatory weapon to get in the game and that’s the default weapon.

- Defender – Dropped from Defender Heartless
- Genji Shield – Defeat Yuffie in the Hades Cup
- Save the King – Win Hades Cup Time Trial
- Seven Elements – Item Synthesize Group 6
- Mighty Shield – Chest in the End of the World (World Terminus)
