The Monster Arena is an unlockable area in the Calm Lands where you can fight fiends so supremely overpowered that there are extremely specific ways to beat some of these bosses that could honestly kick Sin’s butt. (I had more problems with some of these fiends then I did with all the final bosses combined!)
The arena is both pretty straight forward and a bit confusing all at the same time. In this post, I’ll be going through how to get each of the arena specific fiends and how to unlock the chance to kick their butts!
FUN FACT (Because fun facts are awesome): The guy you talk to at the Arena who makes the new fiends? He’s an optional boss in FFX2! Trema, the unsent with the ability to reconstitute pyreflies into stronger and more deadly versions of fiends.
Area Conquest Fiends
The name kind of says it all, these fiends are created by capturing at least one of every fiend in a specific area. Here’s what you’re looking at to start your unlocking and what you get for unlocking:

Very similar to the area conquest, but this time we’re dealing with fiend specific types! This will be everywhere in the world because the types can be on all corners. For instance, the wolf type fiend will have both all the way from Besaid and in the Omega Dungeon. This one will not be quite as quick as the top.
